I am so excited to offer the FaceTite/BodyTite nonsurgical skin tightening system in the office. This is a brand new device utilizing radiofrequency technology. I have been using radiofrequency for many years in my practice and love the natural results from this technology. One of the reasons why this is able to tighten skin is that when tissues in the body are heated to a certain temperature(around 42 degree C), collagen is stimulated.
When collagen starts getting produced in any tissue in the body, this begins to create a tightening and firming effect. What FaceTite/BodyTite is able to offer is controlled heating of the tissues in a minimally invasive manner. The procedure takes about an hour to do and is done under local anesthesia in the office. That means you don’t need someone to take you home and there is no prolonged recovery with pain medication and incisions. That’s right. There are NO incisions involved in this procedure. Simply 3 tiny needle pokes concealed under the earlobe and under the chin. This is an incisionless skin tightening procedure that gives a natural contouring to the jawline and submental area (under the chin). I frequently encourage my patients to consider my Signature Lift, which combines FaceTite with both microneedling with radio frequency treatment to target the fine lines and skin texture on the surface of the skin to give a truly 3 dimensional treatment. It’s important to know that not everyone is a candidate for this procedure and is reserved for someone with mild to moderate skin laxity.
