How BodyTite Radio-Frequency (RF) Skin Tightening Works

RFAL, short for Radio-Frequency Assisted Lipolysis, uses a thermal energy field to induce skin tightening. A cannula is inserted beneath the skin, and an electrode is placed on the surface of the skin. An electrical current flows from the tip of the cannula to the electrode, creating a contained thermal field with 100 percent energy concentration to maximize skin contraction and fat coagulation. Treatment is safe and controlled, and the device can automatically adjust the temperature as needed, producing uniform heating of the layers of skin. Heating the papillary dermis and fibrous septa around the fat clusters to a temperature of 70 degrees Celsius causes collagen to contract significantly, producing the desired tight skin. RFAL by InMode includes BodyTite and FaceTite options so that patients can receive treatment on their faces or other areas of the body as well.

BodyTite + Power-Assisted Liposuction

With age we lose elasticity and skin tone. If you aren’t quite ready to go under the knife, or want to avoid general anesthesia, a local BodyTite procedure is an excellent option. The minimally-invasive procedure, offers satisfying aesthetic outcomes without scalpel or scars, and is performed under local anesthesia. Shortly after the procedure, patients may leave and resume regular activities. For best results, they are encouraged to wear a compression garment around the treated area. In a recent study, patients were asked six months post-procedure to grade their satisfaction– and 85 percent (48 of the 55 patients surveyed) were satisfied with their contouring results and degree of skin tightening. BodyTite is a completely non-surgical skin tightening procedure that utilizes targeted radiofrequency energy to tighten the skin from within the dermis and partially melt the underlying fat. The radiofrequency treatment is followed by power-assisted liposuction to remove the excess underlying fat.

There are no incisions, only tiny needle pricks that heal within days. The entire procedure lasts no more than 60 minutes and is proven to tighten skin instantly, though patients will see continued improvements for a period of 8-12 weeks as new collagen is forming. BodyTite recovery time

BodyTite is minimally invasive, using only small skin punctures to apply heating energy. The patient should expect to be tender and swollen for around 10 days. Some bruising is to be expected. Most patients are usually back to work within 5 days.
