Getting Rid Of Wrinkles With Juvederm Vollure

I’m very proud to be one of the first injectors in the country to offer Juvederm Vollure, the newest addition of dermal fillers. It is FDA approved for correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles, such as the nasolabial folds, in adults. The nasolabial folds, also known as “Smile Lines”, can be reduced by adding volume to the cheeks and midface.

Many people have been asking what makes Juvederm Vollure different. Vollure is within the same family as Juvederm Volbella and Voluma and uses Vycross technology. The improved crosslinking of Vycross combines both low and high molecular weight Hyaluronic acids to produce a smooth filler with minimal swelling. It absorbs less water than traditional fillers so there is less downtime and dependable, consistent results. The crosslinking also makes it more difficult for the body to break the filler down, thus increasing its longevity in the face.

What’s exciting about JUVÉDERM VOLLURE XC is that it was shown to last up to 18 months in a majority of subjects, which is the longest lasting result shown in a clinical study in the nasolabial fold.

I use the blunt tip microcannula technique, which avoids bruising and minimizes discomfort for my patients. This method allows for less injection sites, which ultimately reduces trauma to the skin. There is reduced downtime with the cannula method used to inject the filler so you will notice immediate results with very little bruising.

I have to say that this filler is so smooth that it produces an instantly natural look and feel within the areas of the face that it is injected. My patients have not complained of any pronounced swelling after their treatment and therefore don’t have any downtime associated with it.

Before & After Woman

Where would I use Vollure®?

Vollure® is designed for correction of moderate to deep depressions such as nasolabial folds. If you have used JUVÉDERM® XC or Ultra Plus in the past, Vollure® offers another option for treatment in those areas. Why would you choose Vollure® over JUVÉDERM? Where JUVÉDERM typically lasts up to 12 months, Vollure® lasts up to 18 months. That’s a big difference, and it makes Vollure® a more economical treatment in the long run.

How much does Vollure® cost?

Vollure® is roughly $100 more expensive per syringe than JUVÉDERM®, but Allergan is promoting it during the initial rollout with Brilliant Distinctions. When you combine a syringe of Vollure® with any other Allergan injectable filler (Voluma®Volbella®, JUVÉDERM® XC, JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus) you can take $100 off you treatment. Interested in three Allergan fillers? You can save $200 through Brilliant Distinctions? Interested in four injectables? You guessed it. You can save $400 off the treatment and earn 800 points towards you next treatment.

Can Vollure® Be Used In the Lips?

Vollure® lip injections are off label in the US, but it is approved for lip injections in Europe. There are lots of options for lip fillers, and Dr. Mess can help you find a product that works best for you.

What Makes Vollure® Different?

Vollure® (and Volbella® and Voluma®) use Vycross technology. The improved crosslinking of Vycross combines both low and high molecular weight HA’s to produce a smooth filler with minimal swelling. It absorbs less water than traditional fillers so there is less downtime and dependable, consistent results.

How Much Filler Will I Need? I Don’t Want to Look Overdone

We have all seen the tabloid photo of the celebrity that took things too far, and it’s hard to get the picture of those overstuffed lips and distorted cheeks out of your heard once you do. The truth of the matter is that it’s hard to get that look. In my experience people that get that look have it because it’s the look they want. Many work in the aesthetic industry while others simply have the financial means to achieve an “overdone” look. In that respect, filler is no different than breast implants. If you want the Pamela Anderson look, you can get it, but most people opt for something more moderate. Whether you are looking to top off your existing fillers or achieve full correction, Vollure® is one more option to help you achieve the look you want.
