What is a Breast Lift?
Breast lift surgery (AKA mastopexy surgery) is a procedure designed to raise the breasts by removing and reshaping the skin and underlying tissues. The procedure can also reduce the overall size of the areolae and bring the nipples and areolae into a more favorable position.
A Washington, D.C., breast lift is ideal for women with overall breast deflation and sagging as a result of pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight loss, and the normal aging process. It is not designed to add or remove overall volume to the breasts. Women who desire a change in the size of their breasts may benefit from breast augmentation, breast reduction, or mastopexy/augmentation.
During your initial consultation, Dr. Troy Pittman will take a series of measurements to assist in planning your breast surgery. He will then walk you through the details of the breast lift, including preparation and recovery, and answer any questions you may have.
