I wish you could give 10 stars because 5 feels insufficient. I was referred to Dr. Somenek by another medical professional because I wanted a refresh to my eyes, but didn’t want anything that looked unnatural or not like “me”. A couple months afterward surgery, my piano tuner even mistook me for being 14 years younger than I am and my friends/family say they would have never guessed I had anything done.

My husband was not on board initially, but he agreed to come to the consult. After 10 mins with Dr. Somenek he said “I like him. If you are doing to do it, book with him.” He was very professional explaining options, but I felt zero pressure and wasn’t upsold on anything which I appreciated. Pricing was very appropriate. Wonderful bedside manner.

I’ve had quite a few non-cosmetic surgeries with some wound complications. As such, I have a healthy skepticism/respect for how difficult and unpredictable surgeries can be. Not only do I love my cosmetic results, but my medical expectations were far exceeded with how well run the practice is. I could tell the anesthesiologist and every other member had read my file/medical history and gave the kind of attention to it that you rarely see. Even the scheduling and other communication was so efficient.

My surgery went off without a hitch and my recovery was much easier than others I’ve seen discussed on forums and among friends. No issues with eye closure and just enough skin was taken to refresh them, but with plenty of youthful fat….no hollowing. My husband was so impressed with how fast my incisions healed and how little bruising I had. The sutures were tiny, straight, and perfectly done. It’s a testament to the attention to detail, technical skill, and personal care for patients.

During my annual skin check, my dermatologist wrote Dr. Somenek’s name down because of the quality of the suturing and natural looking results. She said she had seen some pretty terrible incisions and overly aggressive surgeries from other generally respected surgeons.

I’ve since returned for some tox because he’s the only person I want to trust my face to now. Perfect combination of a medical technician, gifted artist, and caring human.
