The Day Of Surgery – What To Expect
On the day of surgery, you report directly to the Surgical Suite entrance which is Suite 501 (the suite directly in front of you when you get off the elevator on the 5th floor). Once in the waiting room, you pick up the courtesy phone which will directly ring the nurses station. You are greeted by a nurse that personally escorts you through the pre and post-op process.
The space itself is calming and expansive with a ton of natural light. You will recognize the signature scent and music that you’ve come to associate with the S + P brand in the office. Once settled in the pre-op area, you will meet with your anesthesiologist who will be with you during the entire surgery. You will also meet with either Dr. Somenek or Dr. Pittman who will complete your surgical markings before being escorted to the operating room.
Following your procedure, you are escorted to the recovery room. Our top priority in recovery is assuring your comfort. Once recovered, you are escorted by your nurse, through a private exit, directly to your waiting companion or family member.
