After your chin augmentation procedure has been completed, the next essential step will be your recovery. Taking the steps necessary for a healthy recovery will ensure the quality of your chin augmentation results.
Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Troy Pittman will dress the surgical incisions immediately following the conclusion of the procedure; these dressings must remain in place for a minimum of three days. A degree of pain or discomfort is expected but can be managed with pain medicine prescribed to you by Dr. Pittman.
You will experience swelling in the region for the first four to six weeks, but this should gradually subside with time. If you experience anything concerning, contact Dr. Pittman to schedule a follow-up exam.
If you follow all of your post-surgical directions then the results of your chin augmentation procedure should be excellent. Contact us if you are interested in receiving a chin augmentation. Dr. Pittman will address any questions you may have regarding the procedure.
