Case Details
Procedure: Rhinoplasty
Description: This male presented with an interest in improving the shape of the nose as well as improve his breathing. Specifically, he desired removal of a dorsal hump (bump on the top of the nose) and correction of a droopy tip. Dr. Somenek performed a septoplasty to straighten the nasal septum, thus improving his ability to breathe through the nose. The dorsal hump was shaved down to smooth the profile. Nasal tip rotation was achieved with tip narrowing sutures and a columellar strut graft was placed using cartilage from the nasal septum to provide long lasting structural support. This will prevent the tip from drooping in the future.
